Celtic Symbols represent an enigmatic world of the ancient Celts - the civilization that once covered half of Europe and whose rituals are still an influential part of our world today.  Some examples are totem animals and sacred deities, the warrior-poet Oisin and Brigid, goddess of healing, as well as special rituals for empowerment and protection. These symbols remind us of our connection with nature, bringing the essence of Celtic beliefs into everyday living. 
 
 

The Tibetan OM symbolizes the start of creation from the vast emptiness.
This is part of a phrase known as Om, Ma-ni, Pe-me, Hung in Tibetan, which awakens compassion and loving-kindness for the welfare of all beings.

 


The Eternal Knot (Sanskrit "Shrivatsa") is an ancient motif representing the endless cycles of existence used in Tibetan Buddhism and in Chinese art as one of the eight auspicious symbols.  Since it has no beginning or end, the knot stands for longevity, strong emotional bonds, infinite wisdom and the buddhist's concept of Karma. 
 

The Seed of Life is a symbol for the seven days of creation and offers blessings and protection. It is treated as a stage in the process of creation of the flower of life - a geometrical shape that symbolizes the whole universe. The seed of life is used in all religions, and can be seen in Synagogues, Churches, Kabbalah prayer books, and even the ancient Osirian temple in Abydos Egypt. 


Key of Shalem (Melchizedek Key), an ancient structure based on the Kabbalah, an esoteric book of ancient Judaism. This symbolic key is representative of creation and development on all levels, spiritual and physical. It has a hidden numerological value, and the teeth of the key come from meaningful Hebrew letters, connected to the Creator in Genesis.  


The Hamsa is used as a strong protective symbol. It serves as an ancient talismanic way of averting the evil eye and providing a "protecting hand" or "Hand of God" that is worn as jewelry or placed in the entranceway to homes.  Hamsa in Arabic, or "hamesh" in Hebrew, means "five" and refers to the digits on the hand.  The Islamic name for this charm is the Hand of Fatima, referring to the daughter of Mohammed.  The Hebrew name is the Hand of Miriam, referring to t he sister of Moses and Aaron.

The Horseshoe dates back to the ancient Caledonian times as seen in their hieroglyphics and is also seen in parts of the Celtic world and tradition. Horseshoes are considered good luck charms in many cultures.  A common tradition has been to hang a horseshoe on the doorpost of your house to welcome good fortune and repel bad energy.

Green Aventurine
Aventurine is quartz, or a quartzite, most often containing mica. It can be found in many colors including green, red and blue.
It has a stabilizing effect on the emotions.  It is a heart chakra stone.  It is the stone of luck and chance. It is said to increase perception and creative insight.
Green Aventurine helps the body defend itself against infections, stabilizes blood pressure, and encourages the regeneration of the heart. In addition, it can relieve pain and heal tumors, as well as many other medical conditions and symptoms.  It has also been used to aid nearsightedness.

Amethyst
An amethyst is crystalline quartz in shades of purple, lilac or mauve.
It heals negativity by increasing positive spiritual feelings.  It helps the wearer feel calmer and overcome fears and cravings.  It can be used as a meditation focus and as a dream stone to cure insomnia. 
Amethyst can heal hearing disorders and conditions within the intestines, nervous system, heart, stomach or blood.  It is used to alleviate headaches and breathing problems.

Carnelian
Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony. The most favorable pieces are a deep red to red-orange hue.
It will increase vitality and help the wearer maintain a sense of humor. It is an energy booster and encourages the appetite. It helps promote a strong sense of self-confidence.  
Carnelian helps the body heal from cuts and abrasions, or heal from trauma as a result of abuse.  It also helps relieve the symptoms of kidney or gall stones, spine, spleen or pancreas disorders, and degenerative body conditions.

Red Coral
Coral has been called the 'garden of the sea'. It was once believed to be a plant, but is now known to actually contain living animals called polyps. Coral is the result of accumulated skeletal masses from these polyps. Red is considered the most celebrated color of coral. 
It is symbolic with life and blood force energy. Dark red coral is used for heating and stimulating the bloodstream.  It was believed to avert bad luck and offer protection from skin disease when worn as a necklace.
Red Coral can alleviate symptoms of depression, lethargy or malnutrition.  It is also a good aid for meditation or visualization.

Fluorite
Fluorite has a wide range of colors including yellow, blue, pink, purple and green. Often more than one color occurs in a single stone.
Wearing fluorite brings a relaxing and calming energy and is said to absorb and neutralize negative vibrations.  Brings a sense of balance and helps relieve feelings of stress.  It can be used as a meditation stone to help energize the body, raise the power of concentration and aid decision-making.
Healers use it to help ulcers as well as the respiratory tract by stimulating cell regeneration in these areas. It fortifies teeth and bones, and eases the pain of arthritis and other joint ailments.

Clear Quartz
Clear quartz can vary from crystal clear to white.  It is a powerful stone, purifying mental and physical energy.  It preserves memories, clarity of thought, and mental capabilities.  It increases physical sensations. 
Its vibration is similar to living creatures and can be used in meditation. It can help the wearer by shielding against the effects of electronic interference such as computers and antennas.

Sodalite
